The National Health Institute has created an Office of Alternative Medicine to research alternative/spiritual healing methods.
Long before his hit TV show, Dr. Mehmet Oz was well regarded as a world renowned thoracic surgeon. Years ago, he was presented with the opportunity to use energy healing modalities in his practice. Finding them beneficial, he has presented Reiki and other energy modalities to his Television audience.
In addition, Dr. Oz as well and other medical professionals have testified before Congress on the value of alternative healing practices.
